The field of creative drama consists of various components being particularly different from the field of theatre but still in connection with it. These components also form the definition of creative drama. These concepts somehow form the components of creative drama while compared with the field of theatre as well. The creative drama experiences should follow a number of stages. These stages may be formed or changed according to the study the leader will do. According to the results of a research carried out in Turkey with the creative drama leader candidates about structuring, designing or planning a drama course having had the creative drama education, it was found out that they had difficulties (The research carried out with 34 leader candidates from the Creative Drama Programme of Ankara University Institute of Educational Sciences and 40 leader candidates from the Leadership Programme of Association for Creative Drama). Therefore, as a result of the answers to the open-ended questions asked to them, these candidates stated that they had confusion understanding the concepts of the stages of creative drama such as play, improvisation and formation.
